There is a place, between the Alps and the Mediterranean, where the microclimate is so exceptional that lemons achieve an aromatic complexity unattainable elsewhere. Menton. Protected by a PDO since 2015 — the only French lemon to bear this distinction — it stands out for a zest remarkably rich in essential oils, floral, tangy, almost sweet, and a flesh less acidic than conventional lemons.
